Micah 6:1-8
8 “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
God has shown us what is good. He brought us out of Egypt, from slavery. He sent Moses to lead us. Why then, are we still hesitant to fully believe in his power?
Can you think of a time in your life when God has clearly given you a sign or a gentle nudge?
Often we seem to have short term memory when it comes to the miracle of life. Simply the fact that we are even alive is a 1 in 400 trillion chance.
So how does one repent in the face of our Lord. If you had to repeat yourself over and over again to your children, would you not become frustrated?
The author Micah mentions giving a one year old lamb, gallons of olive oil, or even his first born son!
What would you give to be fully inline with God’s vision for your life?
Training can be just the same. We work hard for months to build muscle and then one day you look in the mirror and see the same old you. When does the cycle end? When can we finally see ourselves fully when we look in the mirror?
Simple, put God first in your life. Follow diligently the path he has laid for you. Ask him for strength in times of struggle.
As Coach Frank always says “Take three breaths! One for the Father. One for the Son. One for the Holy Spirit!” Simple reminders to breath with the breath God gives is all it might take to make a radical change in your life.
