John 12: 20-50
23 Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.24 Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies,it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.”
In this week’s passage, we see Jesus called to speak with the Greeks. During his teaching, a “thunderous” voice from God calls down from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.”
We often hear of the “glory” of God but what does it truly mean to be “glorified”?
In short, this is our goal, to stand in front of God on the path he has laid for us. Praising him through all things eternally. Jesus is at the crux of decision time and instead of balking at the enormous task in front of him (i.e. his death and resurrection), he calls to God with praise.
So if glorification is the goal, what are the steps to get there?
Sanctification. This is the process of setting yourself apart from the world for God’s good.
I encourage you to take a moment as you wrap up your week, to simply ponder your process, your sanctification.
At Laudate every movement is a prayer, every breath is praise. As Coach Davis lovingly says while we’re pushing to our physical limits, “GET SANCTIFIED.”
By iron, through iron, to iron. Laudate!
God Bless,
The Laudate Team
